Phat Lab is a Japanese lure brand based in Shiga Prefecture, specializing exclusively in big baits. The brand began with a handmade wooden prototype of the "Nekosogi DSR," which quickly became legendary among Lake Biwako local anglers for its overwhelming results in winter dead-slow retrieve fishing. The wooden original was eventually reborn as an injection-molded production model, and today Phat Lab commands a devoted following among trophy-bass hunters across Japan and beyond.

Signature products include the Nekosogi series — headlined by the brand-defining "Nekosogi DSR," the monster jointed big bait "Nekosogi XXX," and the newer "Nekosogi Le" — plus the high-float variant "Nekosogi DSR High Float." The series is distinguished by its tightly controlled joint movement and a water-shedding body action that's naturally lifelike — unlike the exaggerated motion of most conventional big baits.
