Returns and Refunds
To ensure customer satisfaction, NUSHI offers the following return and refund policy.
Eligible for Return or Exchange
- Contact us within 7 days of delivery
- Items damaged, soiled, or defective upon arrival
- Items different from your order
For domestic Japan orders, return shipping for the above cases is covered by NUSHI. Please contact us via the inquiry form or by email within 7 days of delivery.
Not Eligible for Return or Exchange
- Returns for buyer's convenience (size, color, image discrepancy, etc.)
- Items that have been used
- Items damaged or soiled due to buyer's handling
- Items more than 8 days after delivery
Refund Process
Refunds will be issued via the original payment method within 7 business days after we confirm receipt of the returned item.
Damage During Shipping
If your item arrives damaged during shipping, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the damage and the outer packaging. We will arrange either a replacement or a refund for the item value, subject to verification.
International Orders — Important Notice
For orders shipped outside Japan, please carefully read and accept the following terms before placing your order:
- Return shipping cost: The customer is fully responsible for all return shipping costs back to Japan, regardless of the reason for return (including damaged, defective, or incorrect items). Return shipping costs are non-refundable.
- Original shipping fees: The original international shipping fee paid at checkout is non-refundable.
- Customs duties and taxes: Import duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees paid in the destination country are non-refundable, as these are collected by the local government and not by NUSHI.
- Return address: All returns must be sent to our shop in Kyoto, Japan. Prior contact is required before sending any return — items returned without prior approval will not be accepted.
- Refund currency: Refunds are processed in the original transaction currency. Due to exchange rate fluctuations, the refunded amount in your local currency may differ from the amount originally charged. NUSHI is not responsible for any currency exchange differences.
- Risk of return shipping: The customer assumes all risk during return shipping. We recommend using a tracked and insured shipping method. NUSHI is not responsible for items lost or damaged during return shipping.
