However, inedible parts like the skin have typically been turned into fertilizer or simply discarded.
We learned that Shinki Hikaku is giving these black bass hides new life by transforming them into leather.
As fellow craftsmen working with leather, and as anglers ourselves,
we wanted more people to know about this Lake Biwa black bass leather—a byproduct of life—and to let it swim in Lake Biwa once again.
